The mission of Temecula Valley Pop Warner is to enable our athletes to benefit from participation in the sports of football and cheerleading in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, the Temecula Valley Pop Warner program teaches fundamental skills, values and knowledge that these young people will use throughout their lives.
Our organization places great emphasis on education, safety, and fun. We are comprised of volunteers, parents, student athletes, and community. The Temecula Valley Pop Warner experience is one of camaraderie that will provide our participants with life lessons and lasting memories for the last 35 years!
DIVISIONS
Pop Warner football offers flag (5-7 year of age) and tackle divisions (7-14 years of age). It's always important to position your child in the division that provides him or her the best opportunity for growth and learning based on their football experience. If you're unsure of the best division for your child, TVPW staff can provide assistance by making the best recommendation. For a breakdown of our divisions, please refer to our Division Matrix.
PRACTICES
All practices begin August 1st. Most teams will practice from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with practice being held every weeknight until the week of the first game. Beginning the week of the first game, practices will be limited to three nights per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). First games are usually played the last Saturday of August or the first Saturday of September.
Flag division also begins practice on August 1st; however, this division will practice three nights per week and for 1-1/2 hours per night. Your coach will determine which days of the week your team will be practicing. Beginning the week of the first game, practices will be limited to two nights per week and could be any two of the above mentioned days. First games are usually played the last Saturday of August or the first Saturday of September.
FUNDRAISING
TVPW is uncertain of the League costs for the upcoming year. We will make our best effort to include all costs in the registration, however, players may be asked by their teams to raise funds for League fees, parties and player/staff gifts.
GAME LOCATIONS
This is a travel sport. TVPW typically hosts half of our games in Temecula and half at visitor locations. We are one of 27 Associations in West Coast Conference and games may be played as far north as Murrieta, south as Chula Vista, east as Imperial County and west as Coronado.
REFUNDS
Full refunds are provided prior to June of each year. After June the refund will be prorated as uniforms and other seasonal costs have been incurred. The registration fees are used to pay for uniforms and administrative services (insurance, referee fees, EMT fees, field fees, etc...). Players will receive their uniform and practice wear regardless if they are able to play during the season.
